Both treatments begin with a small blood draw from your arm. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge a spinning device that separates its components. The resulting platelet-rich concentrate is then re-injected precisely into the treatment area, triggering your body’s natural regenerative response.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is the original platelet therapy the blood is spun to separate the plasma layer and create a concentrated growth factor solution. PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is the evolution of PRP: it uses a lower centrifuge speed, which preserves more of the fibrin matrix, white blood cells and stem cells. This creates a gel-like concentrate that releases growth factors more slowly and over a longer period. PRF is considered the more advanced formula and is also suitable for the under-eye area, which PRP is not typically used for. Victor will recommend the most appropriate option or a combination based on your specific goals during consultation.
Topical anaesthetic cream is applied before treatment, making the procedure very comfortable for most clients. The under-eye area is sensitive, but the ultra-fine needles used for Plinist® micro-injections are designed to minimise discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as a mild pressure or tiny pinch at most. Victor works methodically and takes his time to ensure the experience is as comfortable as possible throughout.
Yes — PRP and PRF combine exceptionally well with other Amorim Clinic treatments. For skin, PRF pairs beautifully with Profhilo® or dermal fillers to address both skin quality and volume simultaneously. For the under-eye area, PRF works alongside Plinist® polynucleotide injections for a comprehensive regenerative approach. For hair, some clients combine PRP/PRF with a prescribed topical programme for enhanced results. Victor will always recommend combinations that are logical, safe and sequenced correctly typically with at least 2 weeks between injectable treatments.
