This is, understandably, the question Victor hears most often — and it deserves a direct answer. An unnatural result is always the consequence of excess volume placed without adequate attention to proportion, anatomy and the relationship between facial features. Victor’s approach is expressly the opposite. He uses the minimum product necessary to achieve a beautiful improvement, always with an eye on overall facial balance. His philosophy: the goal is never to look different, but to look like the very best version of yourself. Results that draw attention to themselves are a failure of technique, not the treatment.
Comfort is always prioritised. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied before treatment and left for 15–20 minutes to ensure the area is adequately numbed. Many of the filler products used also contain lidocaine within the gel itself, which further minimises any discomfort during injection. Most clients describe the experience as significantly more comfortable than they anticipated. A small number of areas — such as the lips and tear trough — can be more sensitive, and this is always discussed in advance so there are no surprises.
Most hyaluronic acid fillers last between 12 and 18 months, though this varies by product, area treated, individual metabolism and lifestyle. As the filler gradually breaks down naturally, you will simply return to your pre-treatment appearance — there is no rebound effect or sudden dramatic change. Many clients choose to maintain their results with a top-up treatment before the filler has fully metabolised, which can help preserve results with lower volumes over time. Victor will advise you on timing during your consultation.
Yes — this is one of the most important characteristics of hyaluronic acid filler. An enzyme called hyaluronidase can be injected to rapidly dissolve HA filler if you are unhappy with the result or if any complication arises. Dissolution is typically very effective and fast-acting. At Amorim Clinic, hyaluronidase is always held on-site, and Victor is trained and prepared to use it whenever clinically necessary — whether for aesthetic reasons or in the rare event of a complication requiring urgent intervention.
The treatment itself takes 30–60 minutes and most clients return to work or their normal day immediately afterwards. Some areas are more prone to swelling and bruising than others — the lips and tear trough typically show more initial swelling than the cheeks or jaw. Any bruising is uncommon and resolves within a few days. Victor will always advise you if an upcoming event means you should schedule your treatment with appropriate buffer time. Avoid scheduling your first filler appointment immediately before something important — allow two weeks to see the fully settled result.
